Plagues that Preach

“If you do not go with us, what else will distinguish us from all other people on the face of the earth?”

Having known what it was like to live the first eighty years of his life without any knowledge of God, Moses understood better than anyone that the caring presence of the Lord makes all the difference. He was able to preach the gospel - the good news of God’s grace, His unconditional mercy and saving power - not with wise and persuasive words that appeal to our limited human reasoning, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power.
